Designed to give real estate agents an experienced, insider’s perspective on what home inspectors perceive when they examine an older property, this class is a top-to-bottom overview of the elements that comprise a home, and the common issues such elements may present to an inspector and a homeowner. From roofs, chimneys and porches, down to electrical, plumbing and foundation, this 3-hour class provides a deeper understanding of vintage homes and their parts.

A top-of-the-waves overview delivering insights from a home inspector regarding old houses and the elements that comprise them, this class examines common home inspection issues from top to bottom. As several topics are presented in a short amount of time, the objectives are:

1. Teach participants about what home inspectors may be seeing when they look at porches, roof lines, chimneys and foundations

2. Teach participants about plumbing, electrical and heating, and the possible characteristics of both of those systems older homes

3. Share basic information about building foundations, electrical systems and chimneys

This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 3 hours of Real Estate continuing education, course #1033024.

MN licensees cannot repeat the same course within their own 2 year license period. So if you have taken the same class live, you cant also get credit for the on-demand version within your 2 year license period. 

After you take the final, we will submit your CE to the state. It may take up to a week for the credit to appear in Pulse Portal.
